Chicana Badgirls Panel Discussion this Saturday 516 Arts continues their series of "Chicana Badgirls" with a panel discussion. According to their site:
Co-curators, artist and professor Delilah Montoya and Dr. Laura E. Pérez (Ethnic Studies, University of California, Berkeley) will be joined by University of New Mexico art history professor Holly Barnet-Sanchez and Los Angeles-based artist Alma López for a discussion focusing on Chicana feminist art today, its achievements and development and the cultural politics and economics surrounding the reception of its most innovative and challenging works. This event is in conjunction with the Women & Creativity series organized by the National Hispanic Cultural Center.
