David Barsamian speaking in Abq this past week

David Barsamian, founder and director of AlternativeRadio.org, spoke to New Mexican audiences this past week. In Albuquerque his talk discussed how those in power manipulate the memory of historical figures like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and and Mohandas Ghandi into passive, benign figures when in reality their true messages were vehemently anti-war and regularly called out the U.S. and British government on their colonial policies of occupation. Barsamian convincingly argues that their message is indeed valid today in regards to Iraq and Afghanistan.
