This Week's Episode
New Mexico is poised to become a national leader in renewable energy. But, if there's no way to move that new electricity from point A to point B, will those efforts be just a waste of time? Ahead this week on NEW MEXICO IN FOCUS, addressing the transmission conundrum. Host David Alire Garcia sits down with the Secretary of the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department, and others, to talk about the challenges our state faces in updating the electric transmission system. Experts will also talk about how those updates to the grid will also impact New Mexico's plans to increase our renewable energy output in the coming years.
It's the final segment in a special four-part series on renewable energy in New Mexico, leading up to Earth Day on April 20th. Then its tea party time on the roundtable segment, as Gene Grant and THE LINE panelists sound off on the grassroots protests going on all over the country this week.
